Through the high-frequency sound vibrations of oscillating plates, the water droplets transform into a fine mist. And then, the mist is expelled by a quiet fan into the room to add moisture.

Then, due to gravitation, the water flows and be absorbed by the membrane, thus making a water membrane in the side. The dry air absorbs heat to vaporize and evaporate when it blows through this water membrane/film.
