Many industrial processed liquids become contaminated with various solids, debris or swarf causing detrimental effects to the process involved. This deep bed gravity filter provides effective deep bed gravity filtration to remove these contaminants
Operation:
1) The dirty liquid to be clarified is either pumped or followed by gravity into the top inlet of filter
2) Liquid passes through the low velocity inlet distribution header, where it is discharged into the bed of filter
3) A layer of disposable filter media is positioned within the filter, and is supported
By a flat wire conveyor belt
4) As the dirty liquid passes through the filter, solids are removed by the disposable filter media, allowing only the clean liquid to pass through, which drains out of the bottom of filter by gravity
5) Solids accumulate on the surface of media to form a filter
