10-hydroxycamptothecin, also known as SN-38, HCPT, Ampule, 10-HCPT, NSC 107124, HYDROCAMPTOTHECIN, hydroxy-camptotheci, HYDROXYCAMPTOTHECIN, Irinotecan USP RC A, is an antineoplastic drug. It is the active metabolite of irinotecan (an analogue of camptothecin - a topoisomerase I inhibitor) but it has 1000 times more activity than irinotecan itself. In vitro cytotoxicity tests show that the activity of SN-38 compared to irinotecan varies from 2 to 2,000 times.
