Character: White powder; odorless, bitter taste. Mp 200-204 ℃. Soluble in ethanol and acetic acid, dissolved in sodium hydroxide test solution, insoluble in chloroform.
Usage: Used as an anticholelithogenic. For the prevention and treatment of cholesterol gallstones.
