In order to solve the connection and seal problem between cemented carbide seal ring and ring seat, four kinds of combination methods are used, hot assembling, with plastic sealing ring, welding, and brazing.

Combined tungsten carbide seal ring is widely used in oil refinery, petrochemical plants, fertilizer equipment, and pharmaceutical industry.

The mechanical seal ring is the most important component of a mechanical seal. The seal ring determines the seal performance and service life to a large extent. A good seal ring needs to have the below characteristics:

(1)High strength and rigidity, and it will not deform easily when the pressure and temperature change.

(2)The sealing end face shall have high corrosion resistance.

(3)High heat shock resistance. No cracking under thermal shock.

(4)The seal ring has a small friction coefficient and good self-lubrication. In case dry friction occurs for a short time, the sealing face will not be damaged.

(5)The seal ring shall be simple and symmetrical, and the integral structure is preferred. Avoid coating the seal end face.

The seal ring shall be easy to be manufactured, convenient to install and maintain, and very important, in economic price.
