The substrate produces a soluble light blue end product which can be read at 370 or 620-650nm by spectrophotometry. Use 2M H2SO4 to terminate the TMB reaction (to yellow) and read the data at 450nm. A sensitive specific reagent for detecting blood, determining hemoglobin, and measuring peroxidase.
