MRI Ready
When combined with the Assurity MRI™, Endurity MRI™ or Accent MRI™ pacemaker, the Tendril MRI lead:
Allows full-body, 1.5T MRI scans without scan exclusion zones
Permits a maximum whole body averaged specific absorption rate (SAR) up to 4 Watts per kilogram (W/kg)
Additionally, the Tendril MRI lead features a unique, dual-filtering lead tip proven to reduce distal heating.1
Soft silicone tip design
The Tendril™ family of leads includes a soft silicone tip design for flexibility and superb handling characteristics. The soft silicone tip:
Offers more compliance at the lead tip-endocardium interface
Reduces tip pressure by approximately 50% over 6 F leads without a soft silicone tip**2,3
Increases the surface area of the lead tip to 9 F
Although the soft silicone increases the surface area, the Tendril MRI lead still fits through an 8 F introducer due to the material’s soft nature. Four pads on the silicone tip further increase the surface area of the lead tip that is in contact with the tissue.
