Function and Usage: Silybin is the main effective component of Silymarin. It is the main active constituent which is separated from the seed of Silybum marianum (L) Gacntm plant, including Silybin and Isosilybin. Silybin can dissolve to methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, acetone and other organic solvent and cannot dissolve to water. It has functions of protecting the liver, improving liver functions and enhancing liver cell regeneration and has a better curative effect to illnesses such as the acute and chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and the metabolism toxic liver damage and so on. Silybin is the main raw material for synthesizing Silybin derivative for medicinal purposes.
