Product Description
SERM is used in the treatment of various diseases related to estrogen, such as ovulatory dysfunction, postmenopausal osteoporosis, breast cancer, dyspareunia due to menopause and others. OTAVAchemicals has developed a library of selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) that act on estrogen receptors. The characteristic that distinguishes these substances from pure estrogen antagonists and agonists is that their action in different tissues is different, which makes it possible to selectively inhibit or stimulate estrogen-like action in different places.
This library was developed with a combined approach, which includes the use of pharmacophore screening and Bayesian modeling. The collection of similar drugs OTAVAchemicals was tested on the best optimized pharmacophore models.
The developed library contains only drug compounds (PAINS compounds are filtered) and is an excellent basis for estrogen drug discovery projects.
