Name: Polygonum Cuspidatum Extract.

Latin Name: Polygonum Cuspidatum Sieb.et

Botany: The product comes from Polygonum cuspidatum, a Chinese traditional medicine which contain stable, high content of Resveratrol. Polygonum cuspidatum belongs to polygonaceae, is a kind of perennial shrubs. It originates in East Asia, and is widely implanted the middle and south part of China, such as Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Fujian, Shandong, Henan, Shaanxi and Sichuan Province.

Description: Resveratrol exists as two geometric isomers: cis- (Z) and trans- (E), with the trans-isomer shown in the top image. The trans- and cis-resveratrol can be either free or bound to glucose. The trans- form can undergo isomerization to the cis- form when exposed to ultraviolet irradiation. Trans-resveratrol in the powder form was found to be stable under "accelerated stability" conditions of 75% humidity and 40°C in the presence of air. Resveratrol content also was stable in the skins of grapes and pomace taken after fermentation and stored for a long period.

Function:

1. Anti-oxidants;

2. Reduce blood viscosity, inhibiting platelet aggregation and vasodilation to maintain blood flow;

3. Prevent development of cancer, with anti-atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease, ischemic heart disease, highly blood cholesterol in rats;

4. Have estrogen-like effects, can be used to treat breast cancer and other diseases.

Appearance: Off white to light greenish yellow powder.

Solubility: In 70% above ethanol, add 7g resveratrol 98%, the solution be clear and colorless. In Acetone, clear faint yellow or colorless solution at 50mg/ml.
