The reverse osmosis device separated from the pure water and solute-containing solution which

can only be semi-permeable membrane through water. At this time, the water of the pure water

side spontaneously passed a semipermeable membrane into the solution side ,and the solution side

of the water increased, this phenomenon is penetration. When the liquid level rises to a certain

height, the pressure on both sides of the membrane will reach equilibrium, the surface of the

solution side is no longer increased .At this time, the membrane on both sides will be a pressure

difference, which is called the osmotic pressure. If the solution side is coupled with a value greater

than the osmotic pressure, the water molecules in the solution will be squeezed to the pure water

side, this process coincided with the penetration of the opposite, which we call reverse osmosis.
