Print heads / thermal strips in label printers are wear parts. The thermal line has direct contact with the passing label or the ribbon and is subject to constant wear over time. As soon as the printout becomes incomplete or weak, the print head must be replaced.


Replacing these print bars is easy with all Avery / Paxar printers and is usually always economical. The printer mechanics and the housing are designed for a multiple of the printhead performance.

When ordering, pay attention not only to the type of printer, but also to the printing technology (direct thermal or thermal transfer) and the resolution (dpi). Some printers are available with up to four resolution variants (150dpi, 203 dpi, 300 dpi or 600 dpi).
