PPE epoxy polyester wet strength agent


PPE wet strength agent,also named Polyamine Polyamide Epichlorohydrin resin, is a water-soluble cationic thermosetting resin solution. This product is a non-formaldehyde-based polymer and can be used in a wide pH range and is suitable for papermaking in neutral

or alkaline conditions.

Because of the attraction between the positive charge of the PPE resin

and the negatively charge in the fiber and because of large amounts of resin absorbed to the

surface of the fiber ,due to the hydrogen bonding interactions between the hydroxyl on the wet

strength agent and hydroxyl in the fiber in the meanwhile, the resin absorbed by the paper fiber

takes effect at the dryer surface temperature when the paper sheet is being dried and cross-links into mesh structure which protects the paper from water damage,thereby reducing the

swelling of the fiber because of water absorption, protecting the hydrogen bonding between

the fibers and endowing the paper with excellent wet strength as well as improving its dry s
