First is the novel use of four aluminum-alloy screws to act as heat sinks while simultaneously securing the base to the lightbar housing. Heat generated by the LED modules is drawn into the screws and transferred to the aluminum base, where it is then dissipated by air passing underneath the lightbar.

This allows for luminance to be maximized throughout the product’s usable life without heat-related, expensive compromises. 911Signal is currently applying for patents related to this unique feature.

The second innovation is making each Skyline Air lightbar housing completely plastic and more adaptable by giving each module its own encapsulated plastic housing.

This greatly reduces cost and weight, shortens lead times, increases flexibility of use and allows for mass production - all without sacrificing either performance or reliability. What’s more, assembly and configuration changes are made even easier.

Last but by no means least is the addition of two screw holes atop the light bar on each end. These holes easily provide for the mounting of a camera, work light or traffic light on top of the unit without impacting the lightbar function or adding stress.
