New 2015 ORBEA ALMA 27 M10 BIKE

The Orbea M10 might not arouse suspicion with the name. That’s because it’s a stealth missile, creeping up and quickly passing others on the trail in the heat of the race.

Much of the reason for this is the frame. The M is for monocoque, the fabrication process for the frame. The frame material is the same OMR, Orbea Monocoque Race, carbon mix that you’ll find in the Team bike and it comes out of the same molds. It’s light, it’s aggressive, it’s got ample vertical compliance in back thanks to their 4x4 design, which features swoops over straight lines starting at the back of the top tube and going down to the dropouts. Conversely, they achieve lateral rigidity by deploying a nearly triangular down tube and an ultra-wide BB92 bottom bracket shell.
