BMC's 02 mountain bikes marry the carbon fiber front triangle of their respective 01 iterations with welded, triple-butted rear triangles. That's what you see with this Speedfox SF02 29 X0 Bike. As there is less material in the rear triangle due to shorter tubes, the weight penalty is smaller than with the main triangle. It also is a section that isn't supposed to flex at all, another plus, and the cost savings is not insignificant. And you still get all the benefits of the advanced shaping of the front triangle and the benefits it confers. Same geometry, same ride, too.

The Speedfox line should be the bike most off-road riders gravitate to. This is thanks to the efficiency of 29er wheels, the not-too-much, not-too-little 130mm of suspension, and the geometry which is at home everywhere. If you're neither a racer nor a gravity rider, but dabble everywhere, this bike gives you the most riding options.

The shock is Fox's Float CTD E-S. The fork is the matching 32 Float CTD E-S. 130mm in front, 130mm in back, and easily tunable on the trail.
