New 2014 BMC GRANDFONDO GF01 DISC DURA-ACE DI2 BIKE

While the BMC Granfondo GF01 is a race bike, the relaxed geometry and excellent wheel clearance open up many more possibilities. So much that BMC decided to open it up farther, and set up the Shimano Dura Ace Di2 team bike with a disc brake option. It's not UCI-legal, yet, but since those entering UCI races typically have their teams provide the bikes, there's little worry that you'll be stuck without a ride.

The geometry of the GF01 Disc is identical to that of the GF01. The differences are in the fork and on the left-side stays. The stays have been laid up differently for the disc brake post mounts, though the mold is the same. The fork is different. The legs have been optimized to resist the forces a disc brake caliper puts on a fork. The fork also has some nifty cable routing, with the hose entering the fork through the headset cap and traveling inside the legs until it exits just before the post mount. The rear brake hose takes advantage of the Dual Transmission Integration (DTI) ports to enter the down tube along with the electronic shifting cable and routing internally until just before the post mounts on the left rear chain stay.
