In this variety of Saffron style is separated from the stigma and only remaining red portion is called MONGRA. From one kilogram of superior quality LACHHA 870 gms approx. MONGRA is acquired. Since there is no extraneous matter in it; it is regarded as the most superior quality of saffron. We employ highly skilled labour to process MONGRA from top class LACHHA SAFFRON to make available selected quality superior MONGRA SAFFRON to its esteemed patrons.

Kashmiri Mongra Saffron - The deep red portion of the stigma is called Mongra Saffron.The stigma part of the flower is being picked up by the farmers and these stigmas are being dried up to ensure that the product is free from any kind of moisture.

An international standard for saffron is available (ISO 3632-1:1993). Saffron in filaments is classified into four categories according to its floral waste and extraneous matter and other specifications. At each category, we check the specifications to conform to or even exceed the category standards.
