The Melting Pot is designed for melting capping compound, sulphur, wax and similar materials.
The melted paraffin wax is used to seal soil samples and other materials.
The apparatus consists of a 3 liter capacity aluminum container in a well-lagged steel jacket, cover and a thermostatic control heating system to keep the temperature constant in the range of ambient to 200 OC.
