Matrix metalloproteinase-2 Targeted Library

OTAVAchemicals offers a target library of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (627 compounds), which was developed with a combination of virtual screening methods based on ligand-Bayesian statistics and the k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) algorithm. Matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP2, gelatinase A, 72 kDa type IV collagenase) is involved in various functions such as vascular reconstruction, angiogenesis, tissue repair, inflammation, tumor invasion and atherosclerotic plaque rupture. Mutations in the MMP2 gene are associated with Torg-Winchester syndrome, arthritis syndrome, multicenter osteolysis and other pathologies. Therefore, small molecule compounds targeting metalloproteinase-2 may be a potential treatment for a variety of diseases associated with MMP2 dysfunction.
The developed target library MMP2 contains only drug compounds (PAIN compounds are filtered) with chelator groups. This is an excellent basis for drug discovery projects related to matrix metalloproteinase-2.
