Inconel 601 strip

Inconel 601 strip is a solid combination of nickel chromium heat resisting elements that gives exceptional performance at temperatures to 1260oC.
Inconel 601 strip has superior resistance to high temperature oxidation, it is a general purpose material for operations where heat and corrosion resistance are the basic considerations and to the mineral acids, similar to Inconel 600.

Features of Inconel 601 strip:-
Inconel 601 strip has superior resistance to sodium hydroxide solutions and because of the high nickel concentration good resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. As with austenitic stainless steels Inconel 601 can be sensitized to intergranular corrosion in some aggressive media after heating in the temperatures range 540oC - 760oC.

Applications of Inconel 601 strip:-
1. Thermal processing devices -baskets, trays, fixtures, radiant tubes, muffles, retorts, flame shields, and electrical resistance heating wires.
2. Other applications include thermocouple safety tubes, process heaters, condenser tubes, catalyst supports in nitric acid manufacture, exhaust systems in gasoline engines and combustion chambers, super heater tube supports and ash handling in power generation.
