Product Description
Usage: used in blue-white election and bacteriaÿ®s protein expression induced by IPTG.
Action principle: IPTG has the same structure with lactose, so it unites with lactoseoperonÿ®s repressor protein and the space structure of repressor protein changes from tetramer to monomer and loses its specific binding with operon. This makes the gene transcribed into enzymes which absorb lactose. Different from lactose, IPTG can not be hydrolyzed by ¥Â-galactosidase. It is often used with X-GAL in blue-white election.
