Honeywell International , headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey, is an American multinational company mainly engaged in the production of consumer electronics, engineering technology services and aerospace systems.Fortune 100 companies with approximately 130,000 employees, approximately 58,000 of them in the United States.

Founded in 1906 by Mark C. Honeywell. It entered the defense industry during world war ii by producing aerospace products.The specialty materials business can be traced back to a small company founded in 1870 by William H. Nichols, a chemist.

Honeywell international today was formed in 1999 by the merger of Honeywell, inc. and AlliedSignal, Inc. Although united signal is a successor and twice the size of Honeywell, the company still USES the name Honeywell because it has better brand recognition.Honeywell, on the other hand, merged its headquarters into the headquarters of joint signals.As a result, more than 1,000 people have lost their jobs in Minneapolis, Minnesota, honeywell's former headquarters.A small number moved to the new headquarters, while the vast majority had to find new jobs or retire.So shortly after the merger, the company's stock plummeted, returning to pre-merger levels in 2007.
