1. Brief
Fumonisins are mycotoxins produced by Fusarium moniliforme, currently known there are 28 derivatives, among them, Fumonisins B1 (FB1) is most common, been studied is the most in-depth, are found in maize and its products, such as animal feeds are susceptible to pollution from FB1. FB1 toxicity is most strongly in Fumonisins, which has serious toxicity for a variety of animals. Studies show that FB1 can raise horses white encephalomalacia, swine edema syndrome, in addition, can also induce esophageal and liver cancer, stomach cancer and other human diseases, constitute a risk to animal and human health.
This kit can analyze Fumonisins B1 content in sample quickly and accurately, the operating time is less than 60min, minimize operating errors and work intensity
2. Principle
This test kit is based on the competitive enzyme immunoassay for the detection of Fumonisin B1 in the sample. The coupling antigen is pre-coated on the micro-well stripes. The Fumonisin B1 in the sample and the coupling antigens pre-coated on the micro-well stripes compete for anti-Fumonisin B1 antibodies. After the addition of the enzyme conjugate, the TMB substrate is added for coloration. The optical density (OD) value of the testing sample has a negative correlation with the Fumonisin B1 concentration in the sample. This value is compared to the standard curve and the Fumonisin B1 concentration is subsequently obtained.
3. Application
This test kit can be used to detect Fumonisins B1 (FB1) in feed, corn and corn by-products samples qualitatively and quantitatively.
