Fluorescent Probes Design Group has a large research experience in the area of design of fluorescent dyes for biology and medicine, as well as spectroscopy studies of small molecules interaction with biological molecules. It provides absorption and fluorescent measurements of organic and inorganic compounds including (but not limited to) organic dyes and biological molecules; fluorescent studies of interaction between biological molecules (e.g. proteins of nucleic acids) with small molecules (e.g. dyes or pharmaceuticals). Large (about 2000 compounds) historical collection of dyes of various classes and big experience in synthesis of new compounds provide good background for the development of fluorescent probes for the detection of the target object of interest. Based on the designed probes the Group develops the fluorescent assays and elaborates detailed protocols of the probes application.
