The PDO thread is made with Polydioxanone, while the other two are made with polylactic acid (PLA) and polycaprolactone (PCA). Among these three kinds of threads, the PDO thread has the longest usage time. The threads are made of a colorless polyester material that will naturally break down or dissolve about six months after surgery.
