Ethylene glycol monomethyl ether is the intermediate of cinosulfuron and herbicide, Oils and synthetic resin solvent nitro cellulose. (3). Ethylene glycol monomethyl ether can be used as a solvent for various kinds of oil, lignin, nitro cellulose, cellulose acetate, alcohol soluble dye and synthetic resin. (4). Ethylene glycol monomethyl ether can also be used as a dye penetrant and leveling agent industry, or as a plasticizer, brightener; (5). Ethylene glycol monomethyl ether as the analytical reagents, it can be used for the determination of trace moisture in alcohols, saturated hydrocarbons, benzene, chloroform, pyridine, carbon tetrachloride and so on.
