Electric arc furnace

Electric arc furnace makes use of the electric power to heat and melt the charge by the high temperature electric arc which is produced between electrode and charge. It can produce common steel, high quality carbon-steel, alloy steel, ferroalloy, stainless steel and so on. So electric arc furnace is the key equipment of steel mills, foundries and fireproof material manufactories. We use the industrial computer and fuzzy control technology to regulate the up-and-down of the electrode assembly. It has many characteristics such as high control precision, fast response, low failure rate and good dependability. Also electric arc furnace has obvious advantages: producing electric arc quickly and steadily, high power factor, saving electric power, reducing breakoff of the electrode and prolonging the furnace’s service life and so on.
Superiorities: The user can control the temperature in a flexible manner by regulating the current and voltage in smelting process, in order to satisfy smelting requirements of different stocks. The furnace has high thermal efficiency. The user can regulate stock components inside the furnace. In the steelmaking course of basic arc furnace, the user can largely wipe off phosphor, sulfur, oxygen and other impurities to improve the quality of steel, so the alloy recovery rate is high and stable, the steel’s chemical components can be controlled easily, and also the furnace can smelt much more varieties of steel.
