The scales are made ready for collagen peptide extraction. Ossein is a collagen precursor pretty close to 100% protein once moisture is deducted. We obtain it by removing minerals matters from fish scales. Ossein has recently gained popularity as an alternative material to fish skin for marine collagen production. Our Ossein making process is an environment friendly process, wherein we recycle considerable quantity of water and reuse the same water in the ossein-making process. We have two types of fish scales Ossein: 1. Deep sea Fish scales Ossein (Mainly from Pink Perch, Croaker fish, Lizard fish) – Code: DOS 2. Fresh water Fish scales Ossein (Mainly from Carp Fish Rohu-Katla) – Code: FOS We supply Ossein which is almost neutral in pH (between 6 to 7), high in nitrogen content, low in moisture and with minimal ash content.
