Product Description
DTNB, the Ellman reagent. It is used to determine thiol in biological samples by colorimetric. It is extremely soluble in water. In the existence of hydroxyl compounds, the colorless DTNB is turned into yellow 5-Mercapto-2-nitrobenzoic acid which has the maximum absorption at 412nm. The absorption spectrum of DTNB doesnÿ®t interfere with the determination of thiol.
