Properties: It is a blue free flowing crystal, odourless, bitter metallic taste, soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, insoluble in anhydrous alcohol. It slowly effloresces in air, begins to lose 4 crystalline water at 110 o C, becomes anhydrous copper sulphate at above 150 o C, decomposes when being heated to 897~934 o C.
