Chitosan in Paper making

Chitosan in paper making:

As the chitosan can be dissolved in acid to form a high viscosity of the cationic colloidal solution and has excellent film-forming performance, good penetration and stable water resistance, it can be applied in water resistance of paper and suitable for sizing agent.
Chitosan is one kind of antiseptic, it can be used in print paper.
Chitosan is also a kind of preservative and sizing agent in paper making industry and popular in paper printing industry with mould proof and moth-proofing functions.
Chitosan, compounded with glutin, polyol and polyacid etc., can be produced into compound sizing agent. Then special-purpose paper made with chitoan can be applied in offset printing, absorbing both water and ink.
Now, Chitosan is mainly used in the reinforcement, drying and retention, it is drying and reinforcing agent of paper.
