Compared with silica gel desiccant, TOPDRY desiccant with a moisture drying material calcium chloride, test proved that all TOPDRY desiccant can absorb more than 300% moisture vapor of its own weight and can offer a longer moisture absorbent day for more than 90 days.
While silica gel desiccant can only absorb less than 10% moisture vapor of its own weight in water vapor, and will stop working after 2 weeks. What’s worse, if the surrounding temperature rise about 37 degree, the already absorbed moisture by silica gel desiccant will start to evaporate to the air.
