Ceramic Coated Oxygen Lance Shinto Lance Pipe OD21.4mm

Ceramic Coated Oxygen Lance is a carbon steel pipe with ceramic coating both outer and inner to extend or increase the life of the lance when it is immersed into molten steel in electric arc furnace. The applications include oxygen and carbon powder injections, tap-hole cleaning and opening nozzles in ladles, tundishes and launders.

In EAF, the exothermic reaction and agitation promote decarburization and heat rise in electric arc furnace, while foaming slag can be eliminated. Chemical energy is be supplied via several sources including oxy-fuel burners and oxygen lances. Oxy-fuel burners burn natural gas using oxygen or a blend of oxygen and air. Heat is transferred to the scrap by flame radiation and convection by the hot products of combustion.

The reaction of oxygen with carbon in the bath produces carbon monoxide, which either burns in the furnace if there is sufficient oxygen, and/or is exhausted through the direct evacuation system where it is burned and conveyed to the pollution control system.

Ceramic Coated Oxygen Lance is used to inject oxygen or other gases into electric arc furnaces. The lance provides a much longer life in the high-temperature furnace environment than previously used ordinary mild steel pipes. Using Ceramic Coated Oxygen Lance to inject oxygen into electric arc furnaces to reduce costs and shorten smelter production time.
