Crysvita (burosumab-twza) is an FDA-approved, FGF23-blocking antibody used to treat X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) in adults and children 6 months and older, as well as tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO) in patients 2 years and older. It works by inhibiting excess fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), restoring renal phosphate reabsorption, and increasing active vitamin D levels to improve bone mineralization.
