Botox is used to reduce frown lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet on the sides of the eyes, horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, wrinkles around the mouth, nasolabial folds, and smooth neck and chest/cleavage wrinkles. It can also be used to lift eyebrows and treat hyperhidrosis, lichen simplex, sweat herpes (hyper hidrotic eczema), and acne vulgaris. Botox cannot be used to prevent other signs of aging, such as dry skin, hyperpigmentation disorders, and blood vessel abnormalities.

In most cases, botulinum toxin starts to take full effect within the first week after treatment, so by the fourth day, you should be able to see a slightly different appearance of the treated area. If this is your first treatment, you may feel a "heavy" sensation in the treatment area.
