Piperine is main active component of pepper. It is a type of alkaloid. It is found widely in nature, especially inpepper plants.
Piperine accounts for 4%-9% of pepper fruit. Hongkang Piperine comes from dried fruits of black pepper. Acts as a natural cosmetic ingredient.It is extremely sensitive to light. It is almost insoluble in water, and slightly soluble in ether; it is soluble in benzene or acetic acid, and easily soluble in chloroform, ethanol.
In recent years, with the research in cosmetics field, it has been found that Piperine can promote skin penetration.
