Product Description
Betel leaf oil is made from betel leaf. It has medicinal as well as stimulant properties. The betel plant is a creeper with glossy heart shaped leaves. It is part of everyday consumption for people in South East Asia, specially in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangaladesh, Malaysia, Phillipines and Vietnam. The leaves can be chewed raw with betel nut. Since the plant is a creeper it needs a tree or a pole for support. The extraction method used is Steam Distillation.
Betel leaf oil is extracted by crushing the leaves and stems. Botanically it belongs to the pepper family. The oil has medium penolic aroma. It has a strong burning taste. The betel leaf is rich in vitamins and minerals.
