Beryllium Copper Alloy Plunger

Beryllium copper is copper alloy with the main alloying elements of beryllium, also known as bronze beryllium. It is a senior elastic material with the best performance among copper alloys. It have a series of excellent physical, chemical and mechanical properties with high strength, elasticity, hardness, fatigue strength, elastic hysteresis, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, cold resistance, high-conductive, non-magnetic, no sparking when shocked. After quenched tempering, it have properties of high strength, flexibility, abrasion resistance, fatigue resistance and heat resistance. Meanwhile Beryllium Copper also have properties of high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, easy welding and brazing. In the atmosphere, freshwater and seawater, the corrosion resistance is excellent. Beryllium copper alloy corrosion in seawater velocity: (1.1-1.4) × 10-2mm / years. Corrosion Depth: (10.9-13.8) × 10-3mm / years. After corrosion, there is no change of the strength and elongation, so it can be maintained in the sea for more than 40 years, is a irreplaceable material for cable repeater structure in bottom of sea. When in sulfuric acid medium: in less than 80% concentration of sulfuric acid (at room temperature) the corrosion depth is 0.0012-0.1175mm， when in concentration of greater than 80%, the corrosion is slightly accelerated.

Plunger is mainly used for aluminum, magnesium alloy die-casting, is the main wearing parts for horizontal cold chamber die casting machine.

(2) Not sticking with steel pressure chamber, Not damaging the pressure chamber. When beryllium copper contact with air, it will form an oxide film on the surface, resulting in self-lubricating. Cast iron punch or steel punch do not form such, so it is easily to damage the pressure chamber, resulting in a great waste, affecting production efficiency;
(3) Full beryllium copper material, with the whole solution, aging treatment, so the hardness is the same inside and outside. When worn to a certain extent, the punch can have a secondary processing , to a punch which can be used for small a pressure chamber, so that life will be longer;
(4) Cobalt beryllium copper does not react with the magnesium alloy, is the uniquely suited punch for magnesium alloy die casting machine;
