Beryllium copper is copper alloy with the main alloying elements of beryllium, also known as bronze beryllium. It is a senior elastic material with the best performance among copper alloys. It have a series of excellent physical, chemical and mechanical properties with high strength, elasticity, hardness, fatigue strength, elastic hysteresis, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, cold resistance, high-conductive, non-magnetic, no sparking when shocked. After quenched tempering, it have properties of high strength, flexibility, abrasion resistance, fatigue resistance and heat resistance. Meanwhile Beryllium Copper also have properties of high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, easy welding and brazing. In the atmosphere, freshwater and seawater, the corrosion resistance is excellent. Beryllium copper alloy corrosion in seawater velocity: (1.1-1.4) × 10-2mm / years. Corrosion Depth: (10.9-13.8) × 10-3mm / years. After corrosion, there is no change of the strength and elongation, so it can be maintained in the sea for more than 40 years, is a irreplaceable material for cable repeater structure in bottom of sea. When in sulfuric acid medium: in less than 80% concentration of sulfuric acid (at room temperature) the corrosion depth is 0.0012-0.1175mm, when in concentration of greater than 80%, the corrosion is slightly accelerated.

(4) High rate of heat penetration for beryllium copper
In addition to thermal conductivity, the thermal transmittance of the mold material also do a very important impact on the plastic products. The use of beryllium copper mold, can eliminate the signs of overheating. If the heat penetration is low, the distal end region of the mold wall contact temperature will be higher, so that the mold temperature difference will be large, and in some extreme cases, it may cause changes in the temperature region, extending from the end of the plastic to the other end , so the sink marks might appear in the overheated region.
