Benzoin Pure Essential Oil

Benzoin Pure Oil is extracted from pale green leaves of a large tropical Styrax Benzoin tree. The tree can grow upto 20m high. The leaves have been used in the East for incense and medicine for ages. It is harvested by making deep incisions on the trunks of the trees. The trees must be seven years old before the resin can be extracted. The liquied flows from the incision and accumulates below the bark. When the liquid becomes hard, it is collected and exported. Of several varieties, Siam and Sumatra Benxions are most popular. The extractions collected for a period of three years give the finest benzion oil. The tree slowly loses its essence and is finally cut down. The aroma strength of the oil is mild. It can be blended with Bergamot, Coriander, Frankincense, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, Orange and Sandalwood.
