Product Description
Whatever form of casing is, casing shoe must be fitted on top of casing when put into drill hole. The edges of casing shoe exposed to rocks are very few. Casing shoes are connected with casing by means of thread. Outer diameter of casing shoe is same as bit, with its inner diameter equal to or slightly less than casing. Such design make it is possible for core tube, drill rod and core barrel to pass through in order to extend geological exploration.
Main functions of casing shoe:
1. protect casing ends from distortion.
2. help casing pass through stratum to bed rock.
3. carry mud to earth surface.
4. help down-pass of casing when drill rod is in hole.
