Amphoteric polyacrylamide is copolymerized by ether amine, vinyl cationic monomer and acryl amide with a hydrolysis process. According to its infrared spectrum, the link of the product has both a carboxyl group with negative charge leaving by the hydrolysis process of acryl amide and a vinyl group with positive charge, causing that there are irregular amphoteric polyacrylamide with both positive charge and negative charge in the chain.
