Adamite Steel Rolls/Semi-Steel Rolls

Adamite steel rolls and rings are performance steel rolls with an optimum combination of wear and fire-crack resistance. This quality has a short range of carbon content, plus varying quantities of Nickel, Chromium and Molybdenum to achieve higher hardness levels. It can be produced either by the Static Monoblock conventional method, or by the horizontal Centrifugal Cast method.
Adamite is a hardenable alloy that allows a bainitic microstructure to be produced in the roll sections, providing a high strength matrix. The matrix slows down the crack initiation and propagation, which gives rise to a high resistance to spalling and the best properties against fire-cracks. Adamite rolls used for the front finishing stands of section mill and hot strip mill, the roughing and intermediate stand of bar and wire mill.
