The bidirectional wavelength division multiplexing (BWDM) interface carries two distinct channels in different directions on a single strand of fiber. This provides a 100% improvement in fiber utilization since only a single fiber strand is required. You can effectively double the capacity of your existing fiber infrastructure, fiber costs, installations costs, and maintenance costs all reduce the overall cost of ownership. We can now provide BIDI SFP with transmission reach from 20KM up to 120KM.
