The founder of Advance Research Chemicals (ARC), Dayal T. Meshri, graduated from the University of Idaho with a PhD in Chemistry in 1968. While working as a chemist at the beginning of his career, Dr. Meshri began to dream of building and owning his own company. In 1986, he recognized the need for high purity inorganic fluorine compounds, so he started ARC in 1987 with the intention of providing these materials at a competitive price and improved quality. Dr. Meshri and his two employees were originally housed in a 3,000 square foot building in the Port of Catoosa. ARC started as a research chemical supply house and over time, has grown into the company it is today based on customer needs and industry demands.
