Since early 2000, AD Technology (ADT) has been partnered with Technical Products Manufacturing, Inc. (TPI), a well-known designer of security and personal protection and cooling products in the USA. After 5-years of research and test, the first generation of personal cooling systems received approval from the United States Department of Defense in 2004, and the US Homeland Security Grant Program in 2005. These personal cooling systems have been in use by the US Army and Alliance Against Terror since early 2006. In January, 2010, the AD Technology compressor cooling systems were passed the tests and have been applied by the Chinese military.
To meet the high demand of the commercial marketplace, “DSKool” was launched in early 2007. The DSKool personal cooling systems, and microclimate cooling systems, have been designed for everyday use and are currently patent pending. These new cooling systems have received consistently high praise from emergency first-responders, firefighters, and the medical community.
