Beijing Kawin Bio-tech Co., Ltd, also National Engineering Research Center for Viral Bio-Technology, is the first national engineering research center in the field of viral bio-technology applied by Ministry of Health and approved and supported by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), with the technology backing of virology institute of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and its Viral Genetic Engineering State Key Laboratory. With total investment of 260 million, two bacterial (yeast) fermentation GMP workshop, one small molecule chemical drug GMP workshop.
Beijing Kawin undertakes several national '863' and '973' key research projects. Representing the highest level in industrialization research in China, Beijing Kawin is recognized as a High-Tech Enterprise by Beijing Science Committee. It acquired the honor of National Key Project Enterprise in 2002, and in 2006, it was named as one of the experimental enterprises of Beijing' s Patent Engine plan.
Kawin has the first fully automatic production line in China, which is a great help for the industrialization of cellular intrinsic factor products.
