COMPLAINT:
I placed an order with francenails.co.uk, which is one of many websites owned by francenails.fr and according to IP located in Paris and run by Guillaume Magnier. After placing the order Vat was added, which is wrong as I am purchasing as a EU company, so I used their contact form on their website to ask for a correction and reimbursement. I also sent another email a day later asking about the product. And a third one same day asking them to respond. There was never an order confirmation sent, no response from seller at all, and even though you can see your order online, it does not show a specification or amount billed, and there is no invoice. I checked with my credit card company and they had billed me a higher amount in a different currency. The purchase was for GBP 174, but they billed me Eur 287, a 35 % increase from the actual order. Order was of course never dispatched, and after checking Trustpilot, there was another review, same experience as mine. The phone number online is not in use. I found a few other numbers, none worked except for one, which only leads to an automatic answering service. I also emailed them from Outlook using [email protected]. A background check states Mr Magnier as the owner, and the website as registered by a Mr Chris Jansen in Brussels with number +32 273 265 83. This number does ring, but is not answered. The company has many ip:s registered over the years, and if they are all doing internet fraud, it must be both lucrative and major, and I really hope there is a way to put a stop to it. I filed a report with the IC3 (FBI Internet fraud agency).
