China
COMPANY TYPE:
Supplier
WEB SITE:

ADDRESS:
No 21 Shixin Road, Xishan District, Wuxi China
CONTACT:

PRODUCT(S):
Stainless Steel Coil and Sheet
AMOUNT:
25000
DESTINATION:
South Africa
COMPLAINT:
1-) We placed an order of SS Coil to be supplied by the above mentioned Chinese supplier having registration no. 91320213MA21BK5Y6K @ USD1000/ton and paid an advance amount of USD 7670.00 on 13th July 2022 as an advance. (attached is the copy of suppliers Proforma Invoice & Our Swift Proof)

2-) Thereafter we asked for samples for approval which they sent us 25.07.2022 through Fedex courier and the same was received on 02.08.2022 by us in Durban and we approved sample on 16.08.2022 after testing and our satisfaction

3-) The supplier informed us that the goods would be ready in 10 days or so from date of sample approval

4-) After 10 days when time came for loading / shipping, they told us that the material was not ready and it would be dispatched in 1st week of September 2022, which initially was agreed as 10 days

5-) Thereafter after confirmation from the supplier that the goods are ready, we booked the product inspection though a Chinese inspection company and also booked the 20’ container but the inspection team found that the quantity was incomplete as per agreed order so he goods cannot be shipped. The supplier then asked us some more time to make ready the ordered quantity and now the agreed time was around 13th September 2022

6-) When we approached the supplier after the stipulated period, they demanded price increase of USD1350/ton in place of agreed USD1000/ton as per our agreement & proforma invoice. Which is absurd and not practically possible to increase in these challenging times. After numerous messages, phone calls we could not be able to reach a solution with the suppliers this unjustified demand

7-) Eventually after exhausting and trying all possible measures within the geographical boundaries, to come to an agreement with the supplier we requested the supplier to refund our advance and cancel the order as realistically at that price we could not buy as would have made a lot of loss right from the time of loading of goods at port of origin

8-) The supplier promised that they would refund the money and it was under process through their accounts

9-) We waited for the payment to be refunded and they kept telling that it was under process, We kept chasing the supplier for more than a month and every time they kept telling that it was under process but refund was never received back to us

10-) After 1.5 months the supplier stopped replying to our messages and after much chasing later they bluntly replied that they were not going to refund our money at all and we were free to do whatever we wanted
